Grid-Tied Battery Backup Solar
 If customers are concerned about losing electricity during power outages they can opt for a grid-tied battery backup solar system. These systems will work the same as any grid-tied system but if the grid is down, the customer will still have electrical power. The system will backup important electrical circuits and the solar panels will run these circuits while the sun is shining and the batteries will run these circuits at night. These systems are best for customers that lose power for more than a day at a time or customers who are concerned about long losses of power from the electric grid. Although more expensive, these systems offer added security and freedom.
Solar electric grid-tied systems with battery backup will give customers electricity for key circuits such as refrigerators, TV and lights even when the grid is down, all the while saving customer’s money.
